Today we have been visiting Bordeaux with other international students. In the morning we went to the Darwin Ecosystem, which can be described as an ecofriendly and communal sociological experiment, and the City of Wine (a building with a unique and modern architecture). Then, we had lunch in Place des Quinconces and went on a tour following the instructions of a flyer from the tourist office. Among the many places we have been to, my favorites are the church of Saint-Michel and the Grosse Cloche. The street art was incredibly beautiful as well.

In the morning we took a bus that took us to Bordeaux at 10 and when we got there we were seeing some graffiti murals and had time to have breakfast. Then we saw a wine building and later we took the bus again to go to the center of Bourdeaux, where we ate. We had free time so we were seeing the city and shopping until 17:30

On Sunday we visited Bordeaux. After a bit more than an hour we arrived at the Darwin quarter, an alternative, ecological place build out of former barracks. It had its space for urban culture but also for families and tourists. A short stop at the wine museum „Cite du vin“ was followed by a sort of paper chase through the city combined with free time to take a look at Bordeaux by ourselves. We could go shopping, visit some attractions or just sit down in a cafe or a restaurant and have a talk with our friends. Bordeaux is very beautiful but crowded city. It has also been really cold so that when we went back to the busses I was completely frozen. I would love to visit Bordeaux once more but next time maybe in summer. There is amazing and impressing architecture like the mentioned Cite du vin which is build in form of a carafe. At around 5 pm we met again with our teachers and the other students and went back to Bazas. It was a good day. Mark (Germany)
On Sunday we were in the host families and spent time with our friends. My host, Mark and I met with Jonatahn and Aloys and went bowling. Julian, who stayed with the German teacher, also joined us. Afterwards we went to a trampoline hall and went to Subway. That was quite difficult because the salespeople didn't speak English and Aurore had to translate everything. Jonathan and Aloys twisted their ankles in the trampoline hall. In the evening, we went to my host family's house and had a "game night" together. :)
