After the first day with our families, on the 26 we have gone to the high school, and the French students shown us everything at the high school.
Then we were divided in ten groups, and each group started doing the project, in my case I have yo rewrite a song with two French girls and a polish girl.
I was amazed by the sport facilites that the school has, for example the thing that amazed me the most was the gym.

On Friday morning we continued working on our project in international teams. Then we went
to Arcachon by two buses. Our task was to collect as much rubbish as possible and then
arrange something creative out of it. After that we had a picnic and free time in this beautiful
city. The next point of the trip was the Dune of Pilat, a really big dune with an amazing view
of the Atlantic ocean. We took a lot of photos and admired the beauty of the view. Two hours
later, we had International Evening in school with students and host families. We had a
chance to try French cuisine specialties, like croissants, quiche Lorraine, canelé. At the end
of the day we had a little party when we could listen to songs from different countries.

Plans for the day:
1. Visiting the beach to pick up trash
2. Climb the Arcachon Dunes
3. Small school party
The actual day:
The Day started early with our group having to continue working on the documentary project. Fortunately, we were able to film the missing parts before we headed off to the bus stop. Our journey took us to d’Arcachon where we picked up trash at the beach. I found some pretty stones and shells. After everyone got to a big dock, we decided it was time to use the trash we gathered and make art of it. Everyone made something and we all took pictures of it. We were allowed to stroll a bit through the city afterwards and our small group came to love it. The houses apart from the big streets were small and colorful. They had little towers and pointy roofs. The roads were curvy, small and sometimes made of pebble. We took tons of pictures and got back on time to the next adventure. The trip to the dunes. I personally think the dunes were the best thing about the whole trip. After wandering up there (and falling down a millionth of times) Canelle somehow got Marie, Lisanne, Anna and me to run down all the way to the ocean. The view from up the dunes was awesome but the ocean was a whole new level. The water was cold and, on our run down, we gathered sand everywhere in our clothes. You could draw pictures in the sand and the ocean washed them away. Together we took some pictures. Of course, we had to walk up all the way afterwards, but it was totally worth it. Would totally do it again. Up the dune we came almost perfectly on time and took some group pictures. The whole time we spend at the dune the wind was so strong that we had our hairs in our faces the whole time. The pictures really show this slightly longhair issue. Back at the busses we had to shake out all the sand. The way back was cozy. We all were tired from the trip and knew that we needed some sleep before the international gathering in the school. The way back was a perfect time for this. In the school we got told that we couldn’t stay that long because the alarms weren’t turned off but we still made the best of it. There was music and food. After the party at the school ended, some of us went a bit further to the bus stop and continued our small party there. We teached each other different party dances or just talked. Surprisingly the polish had the same dances we have and we teached them to the French together.
Highlights of the day:
1. Running down the dunes
2. Teaching each other the different dances (danse Madison, Cotton eye joe, …)
3. Walking the sideroads of Arcachon
